International Travel
Like this Inca door found in the Sacred Valley in Peru, international travel in developing countries has us cross into another landscape, not just physically but at our soul.
Each year, we sponsor a small group of young people to travel overseas to a developing country where they can use cultural conditions to draw from each participant a greater sense of self.
Phases
- Intake
- Travel to the country
- Community service for children: orphans or street kids
- Adventure travel: trekking, white water rafting or sailing
- Group Solo: The team leads the staff!
- Reflection Solo: Making sense of the trip and how to approach the next segment of life.
- Return home and share with others.
